Westinghouse eVinci Microreactor R&D/Manufacturing Facility: A Fusion of Innovation and History

The renovation seamlessly blends modern functionality with the building’s historic character. The redesigned space includes private offices, open workstations, dynamic conference areas, and a rooftop deck, all enhanced by advanced mechanical, electrical, and safety upgrades. The manufacturing and R&D areas were optimized for collaboration, integrating high-tech workspaces, a Design Review Auditorium, and a fully equipped catering cafeteria.
Our fully-integrated engineering design team also provided critical infrastructure enhancements, including HVAC distribution, power upgrades, hazardous material storage solutions, and process utility installations for over 50 pieces of manufacturing equipment. A new switchgear system, standby power generator, and high-temperature process exhaust system ensure efficiency and reliability.
Executed on a fast-tracked timeline, this project required seamless coordination among Westinghouse, JLL, AM Group, Desmone, and multiple contractors. By balancing evolving client needs with rigorous execution, RPA Engineering delivered a high-performance, future-ready workspace that honors the past while driving innovation forward.
