Industrial Piping Designer or Engineer – Remote
Job Type: Contractual
Schedule: 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday
Office Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Wyomissing, PA. Remote work is also considered.
Job Description
As a contracted resource, provide mechanical engineering designer support in process piping & system design using Revit software, for one of RPA’s industrial manufacturing clients in the EV automotive sector.
Education & Experience
Required
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience
- Experience with piping and mechanical design modeling
- Very proficient in Revit software
Preferred
- Experience in skids/modularity/fabrication
- Experience in mechanical design for manufacturing facilities
- Experience with AutoCAD, Plant3D or Inventor
Tasks, Responsibilities, and Utilized Skills
- Provide remote engineering or designer support, primarily in Revit, including but not limited to:
- Layout equipment and modular skids using Revit software.
- Model process piping, utility piping and create modular skid designs.
- Modeling interconnections of piping systems and/or other process systems.
- Modeling interconnecting components throughout a material flow.
- Modeling tools.
- 3D modeling.
- Coordination with Navisworks or Revizto.
- Identify clashes in model and fix accordingly.
- Know how to read P&IDs and model from them.
- Lay out piping systems to connect to pieces of equipment.
- Configure compressed air or water system with pumps.
