Salary: Commensurate with experience. Target annual salary $120-150K.
Job Description
RPA Engineering is seeking a Facilities Engineer, to provide full-time onsite support to one of our world-class pharmaceutical clients. Working with the client’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing maintenance and reliability engineering activities, focusing on the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment for their facilities.
Education & Experience
Required
- BS Engineering (mechanical or industrial preferred)
- 2-5 years of industrial experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, operation and maintenance.
- Experience and familiarity with air compressors, pumps, chillers, water systems, electrical equipment, generators, fire systems, and associated equipment and systems.
- Ability to onboard and develop relationships with external contractors and vendors.
- Lead and coordinate site shutdowns and general repair of utilities through small projects. Manages contractors for maintenance, repairs and small projects.
- Support current and future facility capital projects and site goal objectives, including installation, commissioning and turnover of new equipment and systems.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in the GMP Biotech/biopharma industry.
- Working knowledge of automation systems, VFDs, etc.
- Experience managing small capital projects <$75K.
- Energy management experience.
- Familiarity with change controls, CAPAs and deviations.
- Experience developing Preventive Maintenance plans.
- Experience troubleshooting and establishing root cause for failures and under-performance of utility equipment.
Tasks, Responsibilities, and Utilized Skills
- Utilize MS Office suite applications.
- Utilize CMMS systems such as EAMS to manage all work orders.
- Ensure reliable, efficient, and sustained operation of the facility and all utility equipment. Drive/improve (infrastructure, utilities), availability, reliability and efficiency.
- Data analysis, technical design. Develop and execute plans for correcting issues based on root cause analysis.
- Problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and leadership.
- Prioritizes safety, adheres to all safety requirements. Recommend facility improvements to meet OSHA safety, ISPE, or FDA guidelines.
- Attend training seminars and courses as required.
- Physical requirements: Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending. Work in aseptic areas (gowning requirements).
- Schedule/Travel requirements: Ability to work weekends and travel intermittently.
