Internships

Preparing you for a rewarding career

As our firm and level of talent continue to grow, our mission is to assist in molding young engineers into industry leaders. Through RPA’s Internship Program, students are able to prepare for a career in engineering by participating in unique opportunities and experiences which facilitate a seamless transition from student to professional.

"The most important thing I learned is that communication and teamwork is just as important as any technical skills…I now feel more comfortable problem-solving, navigating AutoCAD, and creating panel layouts. I recommend this internship to any aspiring engineer as it was a great and valuable experience."

Marisol Alonso-Hernandez, Alvernia University, Electrical Engineering Major, '25

"RPA’s internship program allowed me to utilize technical concepts and software programs I had learned in the classroom and apply them to real world projects. RPA’s broad scope of clientele introduced me to engineering fields I did not know existed and allowed me to develop interest and disinterest within these fields."

Jack Hagelbarger, Mechanical Engineer at RPA Engineering, Villanova University '22

"I was able to expand on my CAD modeling skills, get hands on experience from multiple site visits, and further develop my technical and presentation skills. I was able to see what goes into real projects by shadowing with my mentor and working with real clients. The intern experience was a great first step to becoming a professional engineer."

Ethan Martin, University of Pittsburgh, Mechanical Engineering, '25

"During my internship at RPA I was able to gain valuable hands on experience through client site visits and the summer long intern project. It was great to be able to take things I had learned in the classroom and translate them to real world applications."

Maclean Smith, Mechanical Engineer at RPA Engineering, Villanova '20

"The RPA internship provided a ton of insight that you don’t get in the classroom: experiences like going on-site to see past projects that showed the real-world challenges that engineers face daily; or following the design process of current projects, which allowed me to expand my skills in both 2D/3D programs."

Casey Jack, Mechanical Engineer at RPA Engineering, Jefferson University '23

"During my internship at RPA Engineering, I had the opportunity to develop my AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Studio 5000 software skills while also gaining experience working on real-world projects."

Anthony Peluzzo, Bloomsburg University, Electronic Engineering and Technology, '24

“I had the opportunity to work on real projects for clients and hands-on experience through site visits. The company’s welcoming atmosphere made it easy to connect with the team, and I appreciated the opportunities to bond during picnics and lunches.”
