Gina Peluzzo Achieves Structural Civil PE Licensure

We’re excited to celebrate a major professional milestone for one of our own — Gina Peluzzo, Structural Engineer at RPA, has officially earned her Structural Civil Professional Engineer (PE) license! This achievement is not only a testament to Gina’s technical skill and determination, but also to her deep dedication to the structural engineering profession.

Gina holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology, and she’s been applying that knowledge — and building on it — every day at RPA in her role as a Structural Engineer. Her areas of expertise include the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, and her work has been crucial to the success of a wide range of projects.

When asked about her work at RPA, Gina says:

I can't say there is a typical project I work on at RPA other than that concrete and/or steel will need to be designed or analyzed in some function. Some calculations that I regularly complete are base plate design and anchorage, selecting steel beams and columns based on strength and deflection requirements, and designing concrete slab thicknesses and reinforcement based on punching shear, cracking, and moment calculations.

She also spends a great deal of time working in RISA, a structural analysis program that allows her to model existing structures and evaluate how changes — like removing walls or adding loads — will affect the overall system. Based on those results, she designs any necessary reinforcements to keep the structures strong, safe, and code-compliant.

Earning a PE license is a rigorous process. It’s a designation that reflects a deep understanding of engineering principles and a commitment to public safety and professional ethics. With her Structural Civil PE, Gina has reached a new level of professional recognition — one that will continue to shape her career and elevate her impact on the industry.

Please join us in congratulating her on this incredible achievement. We couldn’t be prouder to have Gina on our team.
