At RPA Engineering, we bring deep expertise to support our clients in achieving full compliance with their Global Engineering Standards (GES). Alana Giangrasso, a mechanical engineer and a project manager, supported one of our pharmaceutical clients to reach compliance with their GES. A comprehensive effort was undertaken to bring nearly 50 critical document updates into compliance.
This process involved methodically organizing, tracking, prioritizing, and assessing the risks associated with each document. Alana played a central role in coordinating reviews and approvals by Engineers, Documentation Specialists, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and the Quality team. This structured approach ensured that all updates were completed on time and aligned with compliance requirements, contributing to a stronger documentation framework and reduced risk exposure.
In support of ongoing Legionella mitigation efforts, she became a key point of contact for technicians performing weekly flushing tasks. Alana’s role focused on improving operational efficiency by identifying and communicating ways to streamline the flushing process. Additionally, she ensured that the asset list used by the team was accurate and up to date.
Alana was a great help working through the new engineering standard implementation…[she] wasn’t afraid to get into the details and history of convoluted processes. It would be great to have her back to help work on any future projects.
Pharmaceutical Client
To enhance project transparency and accountability, she created and maintained a detailed Engineering Standards project task tracker. This tracker, encompassing over 200 individual items, allowed for effective monitoring of task progress, better workload management, and improved communication among team members. The tracker became a vital tool for keeping all stakeholders aligned and for identifying and resolving potential delays early in the process.
Lastly, she collaborated closely with supervisors to develop a comprehensive list of the equipment, tools, and parts required to support the implementation of new engineering standards. She facilitated the purchasing of these items, ensured their timely delivery, and meticulously tracked actual costs against initial estimates. This effort not only supported the successful deployment of the standards but also demonstrated effective resource planning and budget management.
Alana and our team understand the critical importance of both quality assurance and quality control in meeting GES benchmarks. We offer comprehensive Gap Assessments to identify areas where current practices may fall short, and we work closely with our clients to develop practical, effective solutions. In addition to evaluating alignment with global standards, we also assess the application of relevant engineering requirements to ensure nothing is overlooked.
At RPA Engineering, our team takes on the technical challenges so our clients can stay focused on critical research, development, and manufacturing. From initial assessment through to successful implementation, RPA Engineering is a trusted partner committed to helping our clients navigate the complexities of compliance with confidence and precision.
