Salary: Commensurate with experience. Target annual salary range $80-100K.
Job Description
RPA Engineering is searching for a Mechanical Project Engineer to support one of our metals clients in Bloomsburg, PA. The role provides onsite project engineering support for capital and major maintenance engineering projects, working within the client’s central engineering team, and supporting projects throughout the metals manufacturing plant.
Education & Experience
Required
- BS Engineering (Mechanical, Mechanical Technology or Industrial preferred)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- 3-5 years of experience in project engineering
- Ability to work with project teams comprised of all areas of the plant (operations, maintenance, engineering, metallurgy, procurement, etc).
- Able to understand mechanical, electrical, controls and structural drawings and direct project teams and resources for capital projects from initiation through implementation and commissioning/closeout.
- Strong computer skills, ability to work within the client’s purchasing system (SAP) and engineering documentation completion (Microsoft Office applications).
- Commute to/from client site in Bloomsburg, PA.
Preferred
- Experience working in aluminum or steel manufacturing
Tasks, Responsibilities, and Utilized Skills
- Effective communication with project team members, vendors/suppliers, contractors, etc.
- Strong computer skills, with ability to work in SAP, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), MS Project.
- Strong aptitude for safety and project risk analysis.
- Able to spend time standing/walking and working in a production environment (dirty/dusty, hot, etc.) periodically.
